JY Cake Designs is a one-woman show owned and run by Jing. With years of refined techniques behind her, she creates visions of bespoke edible art, bringing a refined elegance to all of her creations.
Jing's journey into the world of sugar began simply as an enjoyment of every meal's last course. Her interest to create was sparked and eventuated in a headfirst immersion into the world of sugar. Getting her start in 2010, she had her first taste of kitchen life at a local restaurant. From there, a leap of passion landed her in Paris to further her studies in French culinary arts. With her foundations set, she went on to expand her repertoire working in a renowned five star hotel in Paris, top pastry shops in Melbourne and world class fine dining restaurants.
All cakes at JY Cake designs are made with quality ingredients resulting in perfectly textured and delicious cakes. Fillings are patiently infused for long periods of time to ensure the perfect amount of flavouring. Sugar flowers are painstakingly created and coloured one petal at a time while fresh flowers are meticulously curated to provide just the right aesthetic.
